Symptoms
This syndrome presents with excessive sweating of the Palms and hands of sole of the feet. The disorder effects 0.6 to 1.0% of the population.
The causes is unclear but there may be a genetic componet. While not dangerous, the condition can be socially embarrasing (e.g.Shaking Hands) or disabling ( e.g., Inability to write without soiling the paper) Onset of symptom is usually in adolescence; The condition tends to imrove with age. Topical antiperspirants are occasionally helpful.
